At the beginning of the 20th century, in the Italian Oltrepò Pavese, a natural park of rare beauty rich in animals of all species, the noble lawyer invested in an extraordinary estate, an old 17th-century villa. There, before his passing, he established the Bussolera-Branca Foundation to which he left his entire patrimony for the conservation of the estate, the park and the collections and the promotion and spread of scientific knowledge, which also aimed to the valorization of the Oltrepò Pavese’s agricultural heritage.

Even today, after many years, the wishes of the noble lawyer are accomplished in one of the structures of the estate, the House of Art Brut, which hosts a collection of 30,000 works of Outsider Art - among the most important in the world - together with two valuable book collections. On the label, a bit metaphysical and surreal, through a delicate balance of visual weights of the black paper and the golden light coming out of the door, the unique and founding values of the whole story coexist. The beloved Bohemi horse emerges from the paper in three-dimensional artistic relief, thanks to a combination of materials (black paper and super-embossed aluminium plate) in a multi-relief cliché. The Foundation, a place of wisdom and diffusion of knowledge, whose door is always wide open to the desire of sharing arts and science, takes form in the light of the gold foil.
