Citra / Ferzo
The Ferzo project is inspired by the tales of the late 19th century, handed down by sailors who sailed the Adriatic Sea, in the centre of Italy, precisely where the vineyards of Codice Citra, in the Abruzzo region, are located. The name ”Ferzo” was used to refer to one of the scraps of cloth sewn together that formed the boat’s sail.

From this labour-intensive union, which allows one to take advantage of the wind and stay on course for distant destinations, comes the idea for the packaging created for the winery. It is an expression of the careful selection of the different vineyards that, put together just like the many “ferzo”, give strength and direction to the production trajectory of these great wines.
