Beside Gin is a revolutionary packaging that combines creativity and a typographic technique, together with the precision of the execution.
Three squares of paper are back-printed with a reflex orange colour and partially glued onto a rectangular label, creating a three-dimensional and interactive interplay of elements due to being partially raised from the base.

Beside Gin is a revolutionary packaging that combines creativity and a typographic technique, together with the precision of the execution.
Three squares of paper are back-printed with a reflex orange colour and partially glued onto a rectangular label, creating a three-dimensional and interactive interplay of elements due to being partially raised from the base.
The interplay of reflection was chosen in order to emphasise the detachment of these elements through the shades of reflected colour.
The real difficulty was in bringing the Beside Gin inscription to the two different printing levels of the different papers without being out of register. In fact, the characters flow indistinctly between the first and second level of papers, the foils changing colour while perfectly maintaining the symmetries of the font without ever falling out of registration.
The whole project was engineered to be printed and applied on bottles using fully automated systems. This was an ambitious project that took us far beyond the limits of current printing techniques.
